The Wonderful World of Pathology
For my latest fanfiction for Star Trek: 2009 I created an OC (original character) who is a pathologist. Her name is Doctor Amata Gerald, she is 16 (human) years old.
"But Allie, how can a 16 year old possibly be a licensed pathologist?"
Well, on the planet this young human was raised on, called Salthasia (I will add, this planet was never incorporated in any work of actual Star Trek fiction. This planet and it's people were completely created by me), the students are expected to have completed their education for their careers by the Salthasian age of 19, which would be equivalent to about 14 in human years.
She became a pathologist because she never knew how her parents died.
The story behind my endeavour into pathology was actually quite fascinating, and I will admit that I am not yet complete with my gruesome journey.
I am only 16 myself, and I am certainly not involved in pathological studies, nor am I particularly interested in pursuing pathology as a career, but I am interested in the procedures and how one conducts a thorough autopsy.
So I trekked (no pun intended) down to my local library and picked up a copy of "Dissecting Death: Secrets of a Medical Examiner" by Frederick Zugibe. I actually have yet to finish the first chapter but the amount of information given in the first chapter was more than enough to condone autopsies on the bodies of several Starfleet officers missing several concealed bits and pieces of themselves in my story.
I will say that I plan on finishing the book which I simply must recommend for anyone suffering any odd fascination with the subject due to CSI, NCIS, and the like on television. I will compare the vocabulary and the voice of the writer to be very much similar to the speech patterns of Doctor Donald "Ducky" Mallard (on whom I based Doctor Amata Gerald's autopsy style, i.e. talking to dead bodies) of NCIS.
That will be all for today, I know I never publish anything, but I doubt that anyone actually reads this blog anyway! If anyone does: thank you for sitting through my insanity, and I promise to give you another tidbit of said mental state in the future (near, mid, or far I cannot promise).
Do Svidanya!
Allie

Gold
Piercing gold
Slicing through blinding flourescence
Mysterious
Nothing known 'bout it's essence
The gold
Knowing depth
Within the golden deep abyss
Scalding heat
Eminating from only this
The gold
By its touch
I lose the breath from my own lips
Its soft attack
Smiling while it suffocates
The gold
Smiles through
And suffocates the new victim
I'm it's prey
I am a willing victim to
The gold

Avalon Lewis
Avalon Lewis, aslso known as Ava, is the main character of my story. Her father was shot before the story began and is now in a coma at Vancouver General Hospital.
Ava spends most of her time brooding over her fathers case, still being investigated and only turning up dry leads. Ava dreams of one day being able to catch her fathers shooter and exact her revenge.
Ava was born in London, England, where her parents met. Her mother died shortly after Ava was born, leaving Ava's father, Timothy, alone to care for the girl.
Ava lives alone now at the age of 16, under the Independent living program (a program in Canada where older minors can live alone instead of going to a foster home) with a Tabby cat named Ziggy.
Likes: Sweet potatoes, murder mystery novels, yoga in Stanley Park every morning at 5 a.m. before going to visit her father.
Dislikes: Talking in excess (except to her father), being the centre of attention, fast sports.
Aspirations: Catch her fathers shooter, become a travel writer.

Characters
Alright, so I will admit that I got frightfully lazy and chose to find pictures online that looked like my characters instead of drawing them. I want to warn the readers that I do not know who any of these characters are, save Souske Sagara of Full Metal Panic, so I don't want to have any mix-ups with any of them. These are not the actual characters, they are look-alikes!

Projects Gallore
Well, I've decided after a schizophrenic writing spree that I am going to begin work on writing a mini series. By mini series I mean a series of of screen plays that will end up being a show. I may or may not try and use it to create a show on YouTube, but it will get written.
I will be posting updates on this project to see how far it gets. The pilot episode is being gestated (thought through before execution) and will be written soon, as soon as my characters have been developed.
My character profiles will be posted here quite soon, I will be sketching the people and posting the pictures of them here as well, so whoever actually reads this will be able to see how the process goes.
Just so everyone out there knows, I have never done any production work before, so this is a purely new experience for me. I will be writing the first season before any possible production happens.
Train of thought change: If I can't find anyone to actually act these out I will try and do a radio show/podcast thing with it... that would work easily! I need to figure out how to pay actors for this though... meh, all my friends are probably willing to work for food :D so that shouldn't be a problem.
So, aside from that I wanted to write about a new Application I added on Facebook this week. It's called Save the Planet. Basically what happens is you go on and play games to earn virtual money. You then take the money and spend it on various causes: Ending world hunger/thirst, helping homeless people, ending child abuse, saving the rainforest... all kinds of nice things! Then, annually, the creators of the app will do math to convert the virtual money into a real amount of money and write a cheque to each cause with real money to help. It's a great project, and I think that it really makes up for the materialism of the Western world and gives us a chance to help people less fortunate!
So, that is all for right now. I'm working on those characters so sit tight and I will have them up soon. Then I will see what I can do about production of this thing. I will do something. I promise!
Da Svidaniya,
Allie

Keeping Up
I seem to be the only person from my group of friends that has kept up with blogging. Not that I do much of it, it's just nice sometimes to put something up.
I have nothing to say tonight really, I have no inspiration tonight. I've been quite sad today really, and I really wish I could be less sad.
I know why I'm sad, but I won't tell anyone, for some reason. Oh well.
Yours, Allie.

Miley Cyrus' Autobiography
Hello all,
Allow me to warn you in advance: this post will not be pleasant.
It has been brought to my attention that Miley Cyrus has (or is) writing an autobiography. May I be the first to say WTF?!?!?!?! The is 16 years old, stars as a 13 year old on a television show for 8 year olds... what does she have to write about? "Oh... today on the set I dropped my hairbrush. It was mortifying!"
I have read interviews and seen her on tv, this girl was obviously thrust into the spotlight far too early in life. An interviewer from Seventeen magazine did an interview with Cyrus and said: "You're very mature for your age!" To which Miss Cyrus responds: "I know." Did your parents ever teach you to be humble?! You say "Thank you!" when someone compliments you.
On top of her lack of modesty have you seen that photo running around? Yeah, I mean the one right next to this. Was she even 16 when this was taken? This is wrong. Have some class! Put a shirt on! It's not that hard.
Then, while I was looking for this photo I found another one, featured below. I realise that the self-respect rate of teenage girls has gone down but this is revolting. She is in the limelight, so she should at least act like it. She is doing nothing but embarrasing herself in my opinion.
I am not famous. I'm not even particularly religious! But I can say with complete confidence that I don't go parading my bare body through the proverbial town square! Where's your self-respect? You're mentoring 8 year olds, is this how we want them to grow up??
Back to this autobiography, I was going to gripe about. I read a few exerpts from the wonderful Interweb and I am horrified. I know what she spent all this time writing about! Her failed love with Nick Jonas. Needless to say, I find the Jonas Brothers justa s insuffereable as Miss Cyrus herself.
An exerpt for you:
In the beginning, we'd play basketball in my backyard, or play Nintendo at his place. His family always made yummy Italian food for dinner. I love to ride my bike, and he would walk along next to me as I rode, singing "My Girl." But instead of "My Girl," he'd sing "Miley, talkin' bout Miley." Wow! I was so in love. Do you know what i'm talking about? The kind of love where the sun could shine or not shine all day long and you wouldn't care. The kind of love that makes you want to jump in the pool in December. The kind of love that makes you want to dance in the rain. (Who am I kidding? This is L.A. It never rains!) This was the most magical journey of my life and it was a total rush.
Now, regardless of the fact that she used the terms "Do you know what I'm talking about?" and "Who am I kidding?" this was terrible. You are 16 and your talking about the kind of love that makes you want to jump into a pool in December. Some may say I am bitter because I've never had a boyfriend. That might be true, but if I had the conundrum of having to spend the rest of my life with one of the Jonas Brothers I'd hang myself from the nearest rafter! But in her case this "love" cannot be true. Are they still together? No. It couldn't have been that great for both of them if they're split now.
I will stop now before I get into how bad of a singer she is. She's obviously trying that old sex appeal trick in her videos... No. I promised I would stop. Enough starlet bashing for today. She is young, and should not be publishing a memoir. My god... wait until you have something besides a fluffy teenage romance to write about.
Good day, all. Hope any of you who managed to read this all the way through are not mortified at how much hatred someone of my shyness level can hold.
Yours,
Allie

Finally I'm Getting my Groove On...
Hey there,
I finally got my groove back and wrote something. Yes, it is a fanfiction but it's not half bad!
The story is based on the TV show NCIS. The story centres around Timothy McGee, a Probie Agent, who thinks he finds love in an online computer game. Little does he know that the girl he is falling for is only fifteen years old, AND has semi-clairvoyant powers which lead her to become a new youth agent at NCIS, working as an instant human BOLO database. A Navy Lieutenant has been murdered and his son is a prime suspect. When the son proves to be an accomplice in a planned mass-murder at the high school where our young agent, Kitty McKinnon, went only a few days prior to her being hired by NCIS, the team gets involved and McGee's life is put in the balance. The story is here.
I have already written a published sequel as well. In this story, Kitty McKinnon's parents are murdered in a meticulous early-morning killing spree. There is no useful evidence at the scene, and before long the bodies of more of Kitty's loved ones begin to pile up. McGee is taken hostage by the killer and Kitty must risk her life to save him. Will she end up dying in his place? This story is here.
These stories are some of my best work and I'm working on a brand new story at the moment that may outshine even these! Please give them a read if you are so inclined and drop me a review (the link for reviews is at the bottom of the story page).
Other than those, my writing is going slowly. I'm doing a lot of free writing, developing scenes and characters in one page descriptions. I don't have them with me at the moment, but I will post one of them as soon as I can.
See you around!
